I am very amused right now. I just photoshopped myself, taking the look of Hinata. I mentioned I wanted to cosplay her, no? Would I look good with bangs? haha. I shall post the picture… on my first entry at my new blog! Stay tuned for it, tell me how my editing sucks. =))

Bennet, ex-classmate from Psych2B, cosplayed as someone from Gintama. I forgot who she cosplayed, as I don’t watch the series… very much not familiar.

After seeing the cosplay I wanna dress up too! Seriously Hinata would be the easiest XD I’m thinking of getting bangs (of course) and dying my hair purple… you know that kind of dye that doesn’t really stain your hair… When you stand under a light your hair will just glow purple. That’s it. And then, of course, I know dressmakers. Imma look for stretchy but very soft silk for the jacket. White and Lavender, of course. Then black leggings, which I already have… then ninja sandals available at Comic Alley…

Imma do this once I have porcelain skin like Hinata. Lol. and Skinny. Lolol.

There is another cosplay event to be held at Sm Pampanga on August 21. Since I already have Classes on Saturday, i am not able to come BUMMER! I ABHOR saturday classes.

So that was sunday. The next day, monday, obviously, we had our Araling Kapampangan trip. Really, I wasn’t excited, because all we did was see some places I’ve already seen and/or passing by everyday. I did enjoy the Betis Church, though. It’s as flamboyant as Ms. Lady Gaga! I mean, the ceiling is ornamented with beautiful paintings of angels and cherubim, and the corners are supported with humongous pillars.  In the altar stood a dozen or so Catholic Saints. Spectacular indeed. I really like it. And! At the back of the church were these eagles and a lone monkey. The latter was very scary. I mean, she was hissing at us so often. She even went to this (excuse me, I don’t know it in English)  yero at kinalampag niya so loudly that all of us screamed and ran away.

The next church I like is the Bacolor Church, where the famous May Bukas Pa Filipino teleseries shot their church scenes. Contrary to Betis Church, this ever so famous edifice is so bare that it doesn’t look like a church at all, save for the altar in front and numerous Jesus and Mary statues all around. It is very interesting, especially the Adoration Chapel. See, the Bacolor church is dumped in ash crosswise because of Mt. Pinatubo when it erupted. So in the case of the Adoration Chapel you had to duck or bow or whatever you call it just to get inside. Really dramatic.

I would really enjoyed the trip if it wasn’t for my stomach acting up. I asked my uncle (he’s a doctor), and he said it could lead to ulcer if not treated (although after taking medicine for a week it’s gone now). Yes, I wish my stomach didn’t hurt that bad so I enjoyed the trip better.

Next, Korea Campus Crusade for Christ of California went to UPDEPP last thursday! We invited them because it’s CCC’s anniversary, and KCCC were on their Undignified Tour all around the world. I really miss them. Very friendly people, you know. They talked with us like  were one of them already. Here are our pictures: KCCC Visit = FUN!

We just had our Comm3 report. We’ll now have our Math11 test on monday, Zoology Lab test on thursday, Araling Kapampangan report on July 30, Biology test on Saturday, and Comm3 interview on August 14. God help us.

1.) We were having our 2nd interview day for SAMANA. There were first years literally standing in front of the door, watching. No, they weren’t applicants. No, they were certainly not members. So no, they shouldn’t be watching. What is this, primetime hour?

2.) As a member of SAMANA and memcom I asked ate Mia (pretend you know her) if what they’re doing is ok. She said no, and asked me if I could tell them to move a couple of feet away just so they couldn’t watch the should-be private interview. I did, and how nicely did I do it! Like I wasn’t a member at all! …They didn’t move. They didn’t utter a word. They didn’t even look at me, like I wasn’t there. WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY PLAYING AT? If i was in their shoes I’d be embarrassed doing something that I shouldn’t be doing. But no, OH no, they stood there like they were queens of the world.

3.) During the interview, you don’t talk back to the interviewer. Oh no, you don’t. But guess what, some of them did. Example:

X: “Bakit ka tumatawa? Akala mo ba joke lang ito? Sa tingin mo ang SAMANA tawanan lang?”

Applicant: “Bakit, masama po bang tumawa?” *SAMANA members shocked*

X: “May sinabi ba akong ganon, ha?”

Y: “Pwede wag kang sumagot sa amin? Members kami — at mas matanda sayo. Wag mo kaming bastusin.”

Applicant: “Hindi naman po ako nambabastos. Nag pa-po naman po ako!”

Y: “Porket ba nag pa-po ka eh may respeto ka na? Anu sa tingin mong ginagawa mo, hindi ka ba sumasagot niyan? Kung ngayong applicant ka palang sumasagot ka na, paano kaya kung member ka na? Baka sinasapok-sapok mo na kami dyan!”

Z: “Oo nga, hindi porket may po na it means may respeto na. Eh kung minura mo yung isang tao, tas linagyan mo lang ng po sa huli, sa tingin mo ayos lang yun?”

4.) Part of joining an Organization here in UPDEPP means having a Signature Sheet (Sigsheet) with all the names of the members of that Org you’re joining and looking for them at the whole campus to get their signatures. It’s not an easy task, but it’s quite enjoyable, if you’re quite adventurous. I mean, looking for people you don’t know in mazes of crowds! COOOOL! Anyway, that’s why there are sponsors. Sponsors help you with these signatures. “Hey, that’s Carmine, go get her signature. Her first name is Prussian, if ever she asks. If she don’t want to give you her signature, just tell her I’m your sponsor.” See? They help you survive. Looking for a hundred students ain’t really easy, no matter how small UPDEPP is. And when you get for signatures, you should be enthusiastic! “Ate, Pwede po bang papirma?” “Kuya, papirma naman po… sponsor ko po si X…” “Uhm, teka po ipagtatanong ko first name niyo… Uhm, Chicharon daw po first name niyo… Tama po? Uuy, Thank you po!!!”

The problem is, some applicants aren’t like this at all. When their sponsors tell them “Hey, that’s Carmine and Blessy” what they do is walk up to you and look at you like you owe them something.

Gusto pa nila ikaw kumuha ng ballpen. Gusto pa nila ikaw kumuha ng sigsheet. Ikaw mag tanong ng pangalan nila, at magtanong sino sponsor nila. Gusto nila ikaw ang maghanap sa pangalan mo — which is really their job. Ano sila, privileged?

There are many more instances — but who cares. During integration I think these applicants will see how serious joining an organization is. responsibilities equals the fun. July 05, come here. >:)

P.S. Blessy, Carmela, and I have been addicted to “more than words” for a week now. As in, a week. It’s the longest I’ve in an LSS, really. Oh but I do like the Extreme version, more than West Life. Whew… a week!

First week went well. We didn’t do anything, really XD Just giving of class cards ( as usual) and explanations of course objectives whatnot. There’ll still some conflict on schedules, we’ll try to fix that tomorrow. Our P.E. is 7 am (arnis), and we want to transfer to the 9 am class (basketball). Because 7 am is just sooo early. I have to leave the house by 6 am by then.  Which means to say I get up at 5:30. And I only get up at 5:30 on special occasions.

You won’t believe the next sentence I’m going to tell you. There is a Korean student on BABE! (BABE: BA Business Economics,  or aka Econ. It’s time I teach you some of UPDEPP words, no? XD)

Yes, a first-year Korean BABE roaming around the campus. Of course a certain someone has already fallen in love with him  just because.  XD She’s already stalking him XD (joooking.)

I don’t care much for Korean people, because, as obvious, Japanese is what I like.

Speaking of Japanese, this Japanese Coach Game at the DS which Patricia gave me is really BE-A-U-TI-FUL. It helped me review my katakana and hiragana, as I was already forgetting them XD It’s really good to turn on your console and learn a Japanese word or two. Soo relaxing.

Back to UPDEPP, I saw Kim strolling the halls with her classmates now and then. They have no NatSci classes yet, as is the tradition of Prof. Manalac. Oh, let them wander! Let them enjoy their time before their classes starts! When time comes, ohh when time comes… (o 3o)

I feel so empty yet free without them. I guess I’m supposed to be talking about this things way back in first year, but I guess better late than never, no?

Anyway, Math11 is still haunting us. Pray we pass this time, Do pray! Or else, we’ll be delayed. I don’t want to be delayed. Although my mom is actually feeling ok with it (as long as you graduate), I still don’t want to see my friends and classmates walking down the aisle while I silently sigh and wish I was with them.

No, that would never do.

I pray and wish that everything will be alright. Wow, this is quite my first time actually being optimistic. And I am NEVER optimistic. XD

I feel so… sad. I mean, couple of years ago I am actually excited for first days of school. But anyway, i still look forward to the lessons and projects we’ll have. I don’t know why, but I love projects. Tests, recitations, assignments — I hate them. But projects lighten my soul and rekindles my love for school. So I hope we have many INTERESTING projects… that are not in line with tests and other stuff. XD

And now that I am using my laptop (which is still bare… the way I like it), and it having no Photoshop or whatnot, I couldn’t finish my blog design. WHAT NIGHTMARE! I am really aching to leave this layout and have my own site… :[ patience, patience.

P.s. I have a little quarrel with Blessie at facebook today. I said that we shouldn't have classes on saturday, because it's so unfair, and unjust, and just plain cruel. Even if it was moved on monday, what good will that do? we don't have Monday classes now and forever! It doesn't even count as a holiday! I hope we don't have classes on saturday, so I can go to the Youth Convergence, even if it means postponing our first classes of Zoology Lecture and Communications 3. :]
